Our Role

As a statewide intermediary organization, Nevada Public Education Foundation:

Connects schools, communities, government agencies, workplace partners, non-profits and youth organizations to improve outcomes for youth.

Convenes local, regional, and statewide organizations doing similar work to maximize resources and effort.

Seeks to consistently measure and improve programs and services.

Organizes public and private support to sustain the work and ensure young people receive the education and resources they need to become productive, contributing members of society.

The Nevada Public Education Foundation was established in 1991 for public educational and charitable purposes in Nevada. The Foundation was reorganized December 13, 2000 with a new board of trustees. The Foundation has established four committees: Finance, Marketing/Fundraising, Recognition Programs, and Allocations. The Board of Trustees has carefully selected its members so that they possess the leadership, financial, and organizational skills to create a successful non-profit organization.

An Honorary Board has been established with Governor Jim Gibbons as honorary chairman. The board consists of many distinguished Nevada business owners, civic leaders and elected officials.
